Philip Ball (* 1962) ist ein englischer Chemiker, Physiker und Autor populärwissenschaftlicher Bücher. Er war über 10 Jahre lang Editor der Zeitschrift Nature. Ball studierte Chemie an der Universität Oxford und promovierte in Physik an der Universität Bristol.

Auszeichnung

2004 erschien Balls Buch Critical Mass: How One Thing Leads To Another, das 2005 mit dem Royal Society Prize for Science Books ausgezeichnet wurde.
